Welcome to Smart Receipt Tracker. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and manage your data.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Our app strictly collects data to provide you with receipt tracking capabilities. When you scan a receipt, the image is processed through our secure AI/OCR pipeline (via Gemini) temporarily to extract text. It is NOT permanently stored on our servers unless you explicitly opt into Cloud Backup.
3. Local-First Architecture
By default, all your receipts, financial records, and categories reside purely on your device under strict on-device encryption. We cannot see or access your offline data.
4. Data Deletion ⚠️ (App Store & Google Play Compliance)
Your Right to be Forgotten: You can permanently delete all your data at any time.
- How to Delete: Unlocking complete data erasure is easy. Open the Smart Receipt app, navigate to Settings -> Danger Zone -> Delete All Data.
- What Happens: Tapping this button immediately and irreversibly destroys any associated cloud data and securely wipes the local device database.
- Account Deletion: You may also delete your authentication account directly from the Settings menu.
5. Cloud Synchronization and Authenticated Accounts
If you choose to use our Cloud Backup features or subscribe to Premium, you must authenticate. Whether you use Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, your account identifiers are used exclusively to sync your own personal data across your authentic devices. If you switch devices, you can securely recover your data by logging in with the exact same Apple ID or Google Account.
6. Analytics and Tracking
We do NOT track you across other company's apps and websites. We do NOT sell any personal data to advertisers. We use anonymous crash analytics to ensure the app stays stable.
